Many links include parameters that identify a campaign, email list, ad click, affiliate source, or social platform referral. Those tags can be useful for publishers, but they often travel with the link when you copy it into a chat, document, or public post.
A cleaned URL keeps the useful destination while removing common tracking baggage. It does not make every website private, but it reduces unnecessary identifiers attached to the link itself.
The tool removes common parameters used for analytics and attribution, including UTM tags, Google click IDs, Meta click IDs, Microsoft click IDs, newsletter IDs, and several social sharing tags.
It keeps unknown parameters by default because some websites use query strings for real page state, search filters, product variants, or login flows.
Paste the URL, review the cleaned result, and copy it only after the destination still looks correct. If the cleaned link breaks a shopping cart, search page, or account flow, use the original link for that session and avoid sharing it publicly.
For suspicious links, do not rely on cleaning alone. Check the domain carefully and avoid entering passwords or verification codes on pages you did not expect.
