Privacy policy
tempboxs offers short-lived disposable inboxes. This page explains, in clear language, what information is involved and how we use it.
Last updated: 12 April 2026
Who we are and what this policy covers
In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to the team that runs the tempboxs website and service. "You" means anyone who visits the site or uses a temporary inbox. This policy describes how we handle information in connection with tempboxs.com (and any deployment that uses the same software), including cookies and optional tools from Google.
What tempboxs does, in simple terms
tempboxs creates a disposable email address for a limited time so you can receive messages without linking the inbox to a permanent account on our side. Messages are stored only long enough for you to read them in the app, then they are removed automatically when the inbox expires (see Retention below).
Information we use to run the service
- Inbox session data in your browser. We keep a short-lived inbox identifier and related session values in your browser's session storage (storage that is cleared when you close the browser tab or window, depending on your browser). This helps the page keep working after a refresh so you do not lose the inbox you are viewing.
- Message content on our servers. Incoming mail is stored temporarily so we can show it in your inbox in the app. We use this data only to operate the service you asked for, not to build a long-term profile of you as an individual user.
Contact form (Google reCAPTCHA)
If you use the contact page, Google's reCAPTCHA may run a short check to see that the form is not filled in by bots. Google processes data for that check under its own terms and privacy notices. We still receive what you type in the form (for example your name, email address, and message) so we can reply to you.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with the measurement ID configured for this deployment. GA4 helps us understand aggregated traffic: for example, how many people visit a page, which pages are popular, and general technical details such as device type and region at a broad level.
GA4 may use first-party cookies and similar signals. We do not use GA4 to read the subject lines or body text of your temporary emails. Analytics is separate from your inbox content.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
This site may show display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to measure ad performance, limit how often you see the same ad, and, where the law allows, show ads that are more relevant to you based on your activity on this site and others.
Ad targeting does not give us access to your inbox for ads. We do not hand Google the contents of your temporary mailbox so they can target ads from that content. How Google uses data for ads is described in their own policies.
You can read more in Google's Privacy Policy and you can control personalized ads in Google Ad Settings.
Your consent and Google Consent Mode
Where analytics or advertising storage is used, we show a banner at the bottom of the site so you can Accept or Decline non-essential storage used for Google Analytics and, when enabled, Google AdSense. We use Google Consent Mode (version 2) so your choice is communicated to Google's tags.
Your choice is saved in localStoragein your browser and is reused on later visits until you clear site data or change the setting. You can also use your browser's privacy controls to block or delete cookies and storage at any time.
Cookies and similar storage
In addition to session storage for your current inbox, we may use cookies or similar technologies when GA4, AdSense, or Tag Manager is enabled, as described in the sections above. Essential storage needed for basic site behavior may still apply even if you decline optional analytics and ads, depending on your browser and our configuration.
If a consent banner is shown, use it to set your preference. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings or use private browsing modes if you prefer a clean session each time.
What we do not do
- We do not require you to create an account or log in to use a disposable inbox.
- We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.
- We do not use your temporary mailbox content to build a permanent marketing profile of you on our side.
How long we keep inbox data (retention)
Inboxes and the messages inside them expire automatically after about 30 minutes on this deployment. Whoever runs the service may use a different window elsewhere. You can also dispose of an inbox yourself from the app when you are finished.
Security
We reduce common risks in the email experience by sanitizing HTML in messages and removing remote images that could be used for tracking or malware. Links in messages generally open in a new browser tab. No online service can be completely risk-free; you should still treat unexpected attachments and links with care.
Children
tempboxs is not aimed at children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has shared personal information with us in a way that concerns you, please contact us (see below) and we will help where we reasonably can.
Data processed outside your country
When you use Google services on this site (such as Analytics or AdSense), Google may process information in accordance with its own infrastructure and policies, which can involve servers in several countries. You can read Google's documentation and settings to understand how that works for you.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights such as access, correction, deletion, or objection to certain processing. Because tempboxs is designed around short-lived data and no accounts, many requests can be handled in practice by deleting or expiring the inbox, clearing your browser storage, and adjusting consent or cookie settings as described above.
If you have a question or request we should look at, contact us using the details on our contact page (for example [email protected]).
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the service, our partners, or the law changes. When we do, we will adjust the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is important, we may also add a short notice on the site where that is practical.
This policy is meant to describe our practices in plain language. It does not create rights for third parties. If you need legal advice about your own situation, you should speak with a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
